A branch was created where we implemented a first working version of interface to the Amedo PRPS tracking system: bug-12396-IntegrateTCPIPInterfaceAmedoTrackingDevice

Unfortunately the tracking system is still a prototype and the interface is also very rudimental. Open issues are:

  • Serial number of amedo tools is a special character and cannot be saved to harddisk by navigation tool management
  • Amedo interface have to be extended (return messages of all commands, support of more than one tool, etc.)
  • At the moment QT with module "Networking" is needed for TCP/IP communication

Thus, due to the fact that this is an ongoing research project the branch is not yet ready to be merged into the master.
