Tiff image support in MITK

Description

Loading tiff images does not work properly in MITK. The support of 16 bit tiff images (see also http://bugs.mitk.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10823) is not the only case where MITK does not show the image. Although tiff (tif) is listed as a known extension in the open dialog.

Hello,
I also have some tiff files which are not loading and even throw a segmentation fault in file vtkMitkLevelWindowFilter.cpp at line 209. We are working on this since we are using a lot of tiff images. I created a simple image with Gimp which triggers the problem.

Size : 2048*1536
Color : Indexed, 8bits
Compression : none

Note : we are using Git source code.

Any clues are welcome!
