A problem that can arise by doing sh interpolation would be the fact that the same weight is given to all three layers, where for instance, the low angular resolution of the 30-direction inner layer is combined with the high angular resolution of the 90-direction outer layer. It would make more sense to give different weights to the shells, depending on the amount of information that they provide.
