(first bug-branch wash crashed by merging the master into the branch... this bug is the 2nd try)
In September 2013 the IGT developers will meet for three days of intensive coding to improve the IGT module and fix serious bugs.
The goal is a new IGT release (together with the next MITK release) and the beginning of an official release cycle for IGT.
This bug is for general discussion as well as base and integration branches. Detailed topics should be discussed in separated (sub) bugs.

Two MBI releated bugs are still open/unsolved: T15965 and T15980. But these bugs don't affect the open source part of MITK, so I removed the dependency to this bug. Also closing this bug.
