Live Wire usability issues

Description

  1. When using the live wire tool with many control points, the first one is not highlighted (if you don't know the starting point, you have trouble to find it)
  1. When either closing the live wire tool or closing the plugin, the segmentation is issued
  1. Memory usage significantly increases when using the tool
