Experiment label in XNAT Tree Browser does not show Session information
Closed, WontfixPublic

Description

Current status:
Loading patient data from XNAT into the MITK workbench via the XNAT Tree View Plugin, the experiment item (test glass icon) is labeled with the 'ctkXnatObject::LABEL' information. This information might be a cryptic string.

Preferred status:
An experiment is a session, which is associated with a certain image modality. The XNAT web-access denotes such experiments as "PET Session" or "MR Session". This modality information should be visible in the XNAT Tree View Plugin, as it is in the XNAT web-access. A possible solution would be to prefix/suffix the modality/session information to the current label.
(It is actually visible in the information widget at the bottom of the plugin, but only for the currently selected item, which is somewhat cumbersome).

Note:
Some labels may actually contain meaningful information, like the date of the scan or similar. In this case the label should be used.
Therefore, using the modality information for the tree item label should be optional and only be used, if the user/physician needs to have this information.
