For now I will just add the extension to the diffusion imaging object factory. Should anyone but us need this feature at one point it can be moved.

Why not PlanarFigureObjectFactory?

Mainly because as fas as I know currently we are the only ones using it. So if the Diffusion Imaging Module is not build there is neither need nor desire to read or safe planar figures.

I think this is a feature of general interest. But this is a long discussion;)

As it is now, it works for us and the discussion whether or not this is a required feature and subsequent implementation can be done in future BugSquashings.
