Improve screenshot and moviemaker usability
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Event Timeline

For the MITK Diffusion release the Screenshotmaker functionality of the movie maker has been removed ( see branch bug-9833-Moviemaker ), and instead the superior screenshot making capabilites of the screenshot maker have been used.

Currently the Screenshot maker resides in the diffusionimaging bundle, which is not a reasonable place for it.

Thus it has been decided in todays MITK meeting, that the removal of the movie makers screenshot making capabilites should be merged into the master and screenshot maker and movie maker should be joined as two views in a single bundle.

I vote for this. :)

A few things that also affects the usability:

In the current movie maker plugin the Play and Stop buttons have no text and no label.

In the combos the "stdmulti.widget1..4" could be replaced by stg. more friendly text (e.g. transversal, sagittal...). Does it work with other editors as well?

Write movie in other platforms.

Instead of the "Cycle (sec)" I suggest to set the frame/sec.

The cycle setting affects only the playing, not the recorded movie.

moved screenshot maker into moviemaker bundle

The issue to write movies using other platforms than linux is still open!

You mean, other platform than Windows...
Thanks for the fixes!

I looked into the movie generation issue under linux. It would definitely be interesting to implement this feature for linux, but at the moment this issue is regarded as "low priority", but of course contributions are welcome.

That's OK, the recording on Linux has not high priority neither here.

Does it work well on Windows now?
My problem was that the recorded movie was fast. The "Cycle" changed only the playing not the recording. Has it changed?

Thanks again for the fixes!
