Offer screenshot from "working plane" (axial, sagittal, coronar) by **default**
Closed, WontfixPublic

Description

Dear MITK-Team,

when taking 2d screenshots in MITK from a single plane I would be helpful if the image was taken from the plane that was chosen to be the "working plane".
Example:

  • I decide to perform a segmentation in the sagittal plane -> from all three planes show in the 4-window view, I will maximize the windows showing the sagittal plane
  • when I now select the screenshot tool the default plane will be the axial plane although I am looking at the sagittal plane

Without double checking the image right after I took the screenshot, I will not be aware of the fact that the image was taken from a plane I am currently not looking at.

Thank you guys!

<3,
Peter

I guess we could reasonably choose the selected/active 2d window but that might be sometimes different to the users working plane as it is simply defined by the window that was clicked the last time.

I think @kislinsk suggestion would cover most use cases since the plane you work in is usually the one that is maximized. In this cases the working window will be the one that was clicked the last time.
