Description

R version 4.0.0 has been released. @eisenman could you please check compatibility/ validate using R version 4 as there may be compatibility issues?
Probably all installed R packages have to be updated, therefore use first

update.packages(checkBuilt=TRUE)

I think this may be closed. There have not been any problems with R 4 and R 4 is generally unproblematic.
Agreed?

I did not try it yet. Did you? Currently, I don't want to take the risk of breaking my running development environment.

I'm using R 4.0.2 since summer without issues

Also successfully checked for Ubuntu 18.04 and R version 4.0.3.
