True, so this would need a sort of mirror bug in the MBI part of the code because there we will have changes as well.
Also, there is the problem that small parts in the application (connectomics) are still in the mbi repository.

this can only be done if all views used in mitkDiffusion are open source. this is the case for everything but connectomics, so this bug has to wait until connectomics is open source.
