Currently, the LiveWire tool uses a filter function to calculate the closing contour back to the start point. This filter causes performance issues and is not necessary, since the closing contour is currently just a straight line and could be realized with two vertices that are connected. As a further option, the possibility to display a closing contour with "snapping" behaviour could be included, e.g. when the user clicks a certain key while drawing the contour.
