Pressing the "Del" key while using the picking tool removes the last selected region from the selection. When the last picked region is removed, the point marker in it is removed, but the region is still highlighted in green.
It seems this last removing does not trigger an update in the rendering. Clicking inside the window or scrolling back and forth once corrects the color.
