Current segmentation module does not provide any additional information about the segmented structures.
Although the measurement module including the histogram works quite fine, the information about the volume of the segmentation and the maximum diameters etc. would be very helpful.
This would actually be part of the image statistics module, where the volume and other information is displayed. I'm not sure whether this is relevant for the 1.0 release. I guess it would be quite simple but depends on who can do it and when. I'm assigning this to you, Michi, because I think that you worked on the statistics module. If this is not correct, please reassign.
I could easily hint anybody to pieces of code which calculate both a segmentation volume and a longest transversal diameter.
The volume of an image (region) analyzed by QmitkImageStatistics is displayed in the statistics data list since r21189 (see T3276).
