The project is to try better interpolation basis functions to handle user-defined neighboring contours which rapidly change in size. This is important, because the current implementation tents to oszillating interpolation results in this particular scenario.

The CreateDistanceImageFromSurfaceFilter class needs to be modified to support different types of basis functions.
