Tracking volume not available after workbench restart

Description

Steps to reproduce:

  • Start a clean workbench using option --BlueBerry.clean
  • Show view 'IGT Tracking Toolbox'

--> Default device is 'NDI Aurora' and tracking volume is visible.

  • Close workbench
  • Start workbench without option --BlueBerry.clean

--> The tracking volume of 'NDI Aurora' is not visible.

Event Timeline

Two warnings are printed during opening of the 'IGT Tracking Toolbox' view:
[QmitkMITKIGTTrackingToolBoxView] WARNING: Error during restoring tools. Problems with file (/home/eisenman/.local/share/DKFZ/MITK Workbench_1671662266/data/9/TrackingToolboxAutoSave.IGTToolStorage), please check the file?
[NavigationToolStorage] WARNING: Cannot unregister microservice as it wasn't registered before.

Warnings are not related to the missing volume. If no tools were loaded previously, they cannot be reloaded, and this causes a warning but is no error.

The bag is due to the surface loading in vtk, probably caused by wrong locale settings (point or comma for decimal numbers).

This problem is not related to IGT.
We opened a separate T19563.
