The direct manipulation widget shows as huge or tiny rings/arrows in function of the dataset. Screenshots will follow.
The size should relatively stable, ideally dependent on the render window size.

Example of the old scaling: tube radius fixed to "1".
Showing gizmo on two differently sized test images from MITK-Data/DICOMReader.
Fixed behavior scales the tube radius to 4% of the gizmo diameter. This results in the same relative size for big and little objects (relative to those objects).
I guess this behavior is more helpful.
