"3D preview" in Region Growing 3D tool does not work

Description

If I run a 3D region growing, the preview is displayed on the planes in the 3D view. Whether or not I check the "3D preview" checkbox does not make any difference. According to the checklist, the following should happen: "Im 3D Fenster wird eine 3D Preview angezeigt."

The new VolumeMapperVtkSmart3D mapper fails at doing a correct modification time check. I would be okay to remove the 3D preview anyway, as it is hardly of use in the usually noisy 3d region growing result. The new segmentation should provide this functionality by generating a preview surface instead of a volume...
