It works for classic binary segmentations (then you have to make sure to deselect the segmentation, as the selection color is still red). Multilabel segmentations, even when used as binary segmentations, do not support setting a global color. That's why there isn't a context menu entry for that in the Data Manager for example. Would be nice, if the color property wasn't added in the first place, though.
