In the ModelFitInspector plugin (see T25832) we have the possibility to highlight the currently shown timepoint (old QmitkPlotWidget shown):
In MitkChart, it's not possible yet to change the color of a single point.

I think it would be nice but is no show stopper, because we could, as a work arround, use a chartline that only contains the highlited point(s).
