Description

Feature request for the MITK release in the end of February 2010:

An intuitive feature for visualizing thick-slices, i.e. merging several slices together.

This is becoming a basic feature of all image viewer/analysis tools. It can be implemented with little effort.

If the idea of thick-slices display is unknown, here are some descriptive text / screenshots:

CHILI also implements this feature, I could demonstrate it to you.

This is closely related to #3181. Maybe the implementation could share some pieces.
