I am currently working at the navigation between rotated slices. Therefor I wrote a PlanePositionManager which stores RestorePlanePositionOperations. These operations are executed on geometries and lead to a complete reorientation of the slicestack.

At the moment I navigate through the position by clicking on markernodes in the datamanager. But I think it would be better to have some GUI element which displayes the saved positions in a list. I think the ImageNavigator would be the right place for that.

Another solution would be to write a new widget (e.g. PlanePositionWidget).

This should be discussed at the next MITK meeting briefly.
