MITK does not use the information about image orientation type
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

It is ignored whether an image is stored with RAS or LPS orientation. This information contained in the NRRD header tag "space".
example: "space: left-posterior-superior"

Other file formats, such as nifti, also store this information. probably itk reads the information correctly but mitk does not use it.

Event Timeline

Peter do you think this is something we can fix for the release? Can you update the target milestone accordingly?

Could be fixed with T11477. We should verify if this bug still exists

Es funktioniert jetzt, aber die angezeigten Details stimmen nicht mit dem nrrd-file überein.

to clarify: lacking a nrrd-file that is not
space: left-posterior-superior

I simply changed an existing nrrd-file by replacing
"left-pos"
by
"right-an"

e.g. brain.nrrd from MITK-Data/ folder.

"NRRD.space " in the details window is from itk and already corrected
when loaded into MITK by itk by changing the indextoworld matrix
appropriately.
I rechecked this bug again, discussed with the team and especially Caspar,
and we concurr that this bug is fixed now.
