Workbench crashes when starting twice via command line
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

Steps to reproduce:

  • Start Workbench via command line and specify an image path

--> Workbench starts and shows images

  • Try to start workbench with an image again

--> Workbench crashes

Double-checked that on a Windows system with the same MITK version. This problem does not occur there.

Event Timeline

I assume this is an error caused by something (tm) and will not fix it.

I can not reproduce it on my system and another system, additionally the following needs to be true to reproduce it on the reporters system:

  1. The first instance has to be kept running (so the second image should be added to the first instance instead of starting a separate one)
  2. Workbench needs to be started via sudo
  3. The path to the image has to be absolute (relative paths work as intended)

Unless this happens again on another setup I will mark this bug as invalid.

This bug still occurs on my system!

In addition to @goch's points 2 and 3:

  1. The workbench does not have to be started via sudo necessarily
  2. The workbench crashes with both absolute and relative paths
