Improvement of Level Window Handling
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Hi,

today a radiologist from the Schlegel group provides us some tips, how we could improve the level window handling in MITK.

He had quite some problems with the slider on the right side.

  • He recommends a mode according to some siemens machines, where panning an image is done by clicking on it (in the middle of the image), and scale of an image with the same mouse button but clicking on the exterior widget regions.

->This would provide one "free" mouse button for level windowing.

(if you want to try this he can show you at the siemens machines)

  • There is no doku about the current level windowing in 3M.
  • The slider size can be only adjusted clicking on the lower boarder, but not on the upper.
  • Right click on the level window allows for some nice level windowing with the mouse. However, it doesn't work well in all cases. Sometimes you feel like the "slider hits the upper bound" and the level cannot be windowed coorectly with the mouse.

on the upper."

This is also T2188 which now blocks this bug.

The bug is now splitted into 3 bugs which block this bug. This bug should be fixed if the three other bugs are fixed.

As far as I understand topic four it is related to topic three that the slider can not be moved on the upper bound with the mouse because the mouse position does not reach the slider window in the upper part of the window.

Resetting all bugs without active assignee flag to "CONFIRMED". Change status to IN_PROGRESS if you are working on it.
