Currently fixed tags are used to create the displayed node name (this was noted in T19460 ).

For different settings different tags might be useful in creating unique names, the user should have the option to select which tags are used for creation.

Ideally we would have a property page where the user can choose between some sensible default settings and customizing the name completely.

One option to achieve this would be by providing a text field where he can enter something similar to:
"%[0010,0010] - %[0010,0030] , %[0010,1080]"

"John Smith - 1999.02.13 , Captain"
