The design differs from other TrackingDevice classes. Intention of this ticket was to unify the design and therefore improve maintainability. This would be nice, but is not mandatory. If no one wants to do it, we can keep the current implementation.

ENH (#3228): allow to apply the translation and rotation separately
use Poco::Path::separator() to get the system separator character. See SceneSerialization for examples.
I already commented out the defect code parts. Therefore, tool handling should work without crashes, but reading the serial number of wired tools does not work with this version (but this is not an important feature for the release). Reading wired tool information should be refactored in the future, but I think, it is not release relevant.
now adding passive tools to the polaris leads to a crash in your code:
I tried to run ExtApp with a new checkout of the 0.14 branch (revision #20873) and got the same error message.
CoreApp is starting, but crashes when opening the Welcome view.

Jochen, Measurement does work for me.
I just downloaded and installed the 0.14 Installer.

Maybe we could add a few new screenshots to the sourceforge project site.

granting core modification as proxy for Marco and Daniel who are both unavailable.
If you are discussing it, please also assign it to one of you. If it needs to be discussed in the MITK meeting, please set the RFD keyword.
thats simple: the label numbers that the pointset mapper displays are wrong. The mappers should display the pointID... (IMHO)
That doesn't make sense, the PointIDs are not necessarily consecutive, PointIDs can be 5, 17, 55, 300,...
The PointListWidget does not count, it displays the PointID of the point.
What should we do with this bug?
Adding class author and test author to cc list. Does anyone of you have time to look into this in one of the next bug squashing parties?

Many of the logged messages seem to come from the segmentation module which was
most probably active at the same time...I think the first combination has printed the error message for failed to
allocate memory to the console, maybe this can be changed to an message box?
I can observe, that the registration uses a lot of memory. The MITK3M3.exe uses >3GB Ram, which would certainly throw a out-of-memory exception on a 32 Bit machine. This could be the source of the crash
I tried again with x64 build, revision #20542. It does not crash anymore, the segmentation seems to be working correctly.
did you press the register button in the RigidRegistration view?
another try with the 32 Bit installer:
needs to be reassigned to someone with a 32 Bit debug version.
deformable registration with the two test images takes ~4.8 GB ram on my machine. This will lead certainly to an out of memory exception on 32 bit machines.
Test with the 32 Bit installer (rev 20269):

FIX (#2996): fix application name on title bar of help window
I disagree. The layer property is invisible to the user and unintuitive to change. All other views process the data object that is selected in the data manager. Only the LevelWindow slider chooses its data object by other criteria. This is unintuitive for the user.

Removing 3M3 keyword. This is not relevant as the property list is not
delivered with 3M3.
