Option 2 seems not to be enough, since I still can paint in other windows, even though it makes a little difference at least. Also, while free drawing a segment, you can leave a window and place a control point outside of the image which leads to the crashes reported.

Status: Issue is fixed. I tested it on macOS with python 3.9 & it works. However, it's not yet on pypi. Until the changes are on pypi, MITK won't benefit from the fix. MITK pip installs TotalSegmentator.

There seems to be still issues with CMake 3.26.3 regarding include directories of Qt 5. Seems like we have to be more patient if that's an issue for our purpose.

Additional checks necessary:
- CMake version >= 3.24 (the feature was added before but didn't work until v3.24)
- Visual Studio 2019 version >= 16.11 (according to MS 16.10 but CMake states 16.11 as minimum version)

Input devices (WiiMote and Space Navigator 3-d mouse) are something not included anymore in MITK any major parts of it where removed a long time ago already. However, I found quite a few remnants still present which should be deleted like this preference page, the whole org.mitk.core.ext plugin with the device registry, or interaction constants related to the WiiMote or Space Navigator 3-d mouse.
