kislinsk closed T30270: [Segmentation] Show Position Nodes in Interpolation not working for loaded mitk projects as Invalid.

I can't reproduce that "Show Position Nodes" does nothing and I don't see why it shouldn't as it affects all node siblings that have "isContourMarker" (BoolProperty) set, which is still the case. It is also expected that the interpolation mode is disabled. You can enable it again and then click on "Reinit Interpolation".

Yes, as far as I know this does not lead to any problems, right? It would be possible to iterate through the slice and check for any remains each time the slice has been updates, but I guess it would be too much at the current state.

@gaoh With that already help you? Especially the last option with in file property lists and modify mode?
I would like to keep it in XML for now because it’s much faster to realize as we do not have to change complete reader infrastructure.

Turns out, eager plugins start too early to be of any use here (A). Regarding (B), preferences are already queried in the Workbench Window Advisors for the visibility of the category labels in tool bars, so it would be like two lines to get the preferences applied also at application startup, at the price of having to do it in each Workbench Window Advisor:

I don't see a good way to handle this differently. Discerning if a slice has become obsolete would be very hard, especially since it's in 3D and the slice could be intersected by a segmented slice of a different orientation. The position node remaining does not seem like a problem to me, so I would vote to close as Invalid or Wontfix.

Thats because 3D Tools in total do not support undo redo currently.
Sofar we havent dared due to the memory footprint (as it would mean storing copies of the volume); but also never tested it.
May be we should ceck if it is OK in conjunction with compression (introduced by @kislinsk some time ago) and if needed limitations (a max step limit, or clearing the history if the segmentation is finished), to avoid extrem memory consumption due to long undo/redo history.
